Clariant have announced that the prices of their entire range of dyes and chemicals are rising with immediate effect.

The senior management at Clariant have announced that they can no longer contain the rising price of raw materials and energy by internal measures alone and that prices are to rise between 5 and 40%.

Last year Clariant improved production efficiencies to absorb some of the rising costs but they are now no longer able to do so and customers will have to pay increased prices - or look for alternative suppliers.

We‘re concerned that dyers could be tempted to switch suppliers as this potentially carries the risk of lower quality and restricted substances issues.
